The Frauenkirche in Munich - the Cathedral of Our Lady - on the main church and cathedral of the church provinces of southern Bavaria since the establishment of the Aünchen and freising archdiocese 1821. Built 1468-88 on the site of an earlier church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, your impressive late Gothic building measures about 109 meters by 40 meters by its high wall, clear articulation and lackan ornamentan.
Its great size, as well as the sturdy residential towers - of which is one height of 100 meters reached, ducks 99 meters - makes it one of Munich's most famous monument.
Munich Cathedral: Interior Highlights
In 1601, the interior of the Frauenkirche corridor was restored with 22 multi-octagon columns arranged in two rows. The chapel of the South Tower has the tomb of the architect Frauenkirchen Jorg Halspa (ganghofer), while the chapel of the North Tower has the tomb of Tulbeck since 1476. The noble tombstone of the 14th century Ligsalz family is also interesting.

By Road: Like most major European cities, much of Munich's Old Town is designated as pedestrian. If a tour is required, the park is located on the outskirts of the city and uses public transport.
Parking:There is very little street parking and public parking is often busy and expensive.
